Luke

You’re responsible for the establishment of governments. The rise and fall of any government is by Your divine authority. I’m are called to live under the authority You delegated to government.

But I’m also commanded to remain steadfastly committed to You. I’m not authorized to grant to the government authority which challenges Yours.

This means You call me…and all Your followers to a Biblical standard of civil disobedience when the government challenges Your authority.

I cannot accept abortion…or child mutilation. I cannot quietly allow churches to be closed. I cannot swear upon any authority but Yours.

I’m called to stand on Your truth. I must live as though I belong to You.

May my daily choices reflect I’m a bondservant to Christ with complete abandonment and uncompromising integrity.

AMEN

Scripture: “’Well then,” he said, “give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.” Luke 12:25

America is becoming more violent each day. Gangs, crime, drugs, rape, random beat-downs…these stories are daily headlines in every corner of our country. The people fighting back in self-defense are often the ones arrested as criminals.

There are no “safe spaces” here.

GOOD NEWS…there is a safe space available for any willing to seek it out. The safest place in the universe is resting in the palm of our Creator’s hand.

Love, security, forgiveness, purpose everything I needed to enjoy life and to sleep peacefully are available to anyone willing to ask. As soon as I agreed with my Father about my failure and ask for His grace, I was safe…rescued from the madness and my feet were planted on solid ground. Christ has already won the battle.

AMEN

Scripture: “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Luke 11:9

In creating mankind, You gave us emotions. We have the ability to feel things deeply. We love, we mourn, we laugh, and a myriad of other emotions. Our feelings bring a richness…a depth to our existence.

You have also established absolute truth to guide us through life. You intend for us to make life choices…not based on emotions but on truth. The enemy has taught us to follow our feelings, knowing they will always lead us to destruction. Teach me to acknowledge my emotions and to be sensitive to others’ feelings, but never let emotions replace truth as my guide. May my decisions always reflect honor on You.

When I override my feelings to make hard decisions, You have promised to be with me and sustain me.

AMEN

Scripture:
“When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it” Luke 19:41

You chose to rescue us by becoming one of us. Free of Adam’s sin by Your virgin birth, You lived without sin in order to be our sacrifice. Mary was chosen as Your mother because of her innocence, humility, and purity. She demonstrates a walk of godliness and service.

Many women today are choosing to follow the path of fallen man. Enticed by men, they have abandoned their favored position as “Crowning Glory of Creation” to soil themselves in the world’s sexualized definition of womanhood. Abandoning their responsibilities as wives and mothers they have given themselves over to the world. When men and women defy God’s creative order, the victims are the children.

America needs Godly role models…may my walk encourage others to become all they’ve been created to be.

AMEN

Scripture: “Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior’…” Luke 1:46-47

America is a hot mess!  Knowing, “You got this” is a great comfort.

As violence ramps up and has the tacit support of our elites on campuses, in  the media and within our government its hard to see how this ends well. As drug deaths increase and drug gangs and terrorists flood our country because of our open southern borders its hard to see how this ends well. As our public schools become grooming grounds for dysfunctional and gender fluid relationships and concerned parents attempts to push back are considered terrorist attacks, its hard to see how this ends well.

Father, comfort me with Your Holy Spirit and teach me how to pray in this environment.  Evil seems to be winning on every level.

Through it all, my faith will not be shaken…You got this!

AMEN

Scripture: “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”    Luke 10:17

My eternity is secure in Your trustworthiness. From the moment of my salvation, You have protected me from danger.

Never in my lifetime has the threat to innocent children been greater. We seem intent on killing the unborn. If they survive the womb, so many are living without any spiritual guidance. So many are being deceived by our educators and by social media.

Once safe family entertainment providers have become grooming houses promoting perversion and dysfunction. Influential government authorities have said that every major medical  association agrees, gender-affirming care is life-saving…a critical tool for health care providers.” A lie from the pit of hell and it is becoming mainstream.
Father, teach us how to protect our children from the grasp of darkness.

Without Your light, our souls are hopelessly lost.

AMEN

Scripture: “It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.” Luke 17:2

I am brokenhearted to learn the death rate for our children is rising rapidly. Our children from birth to 20 are dying at their highest rate in over a decade. It has risen 20% since 2019.

The two issues impacting this rate the most are the impact of Covid policies and the flood of drugs from China crossing our southern border almost unimpeded by the past administration. The most vulnerable among us have been abandoned by our woke culture which sees them as though they were capable of making adult decisions and need no special protections.

Please hear my prayer and join this battle to protect them. I want to be a part of the solution. Teach me how to make a difference.

AMEN

Scripture: “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble.” Luke 17:2

I know that there is no power in the universe that can stand before You. The greatest leaders…the most powerful weapons cannot overcome You.

But, today in America the “Almighty Dollar” undergirds our every decision.

Recently a legislature passed law prohibiting men from participating in women’s sporting events was vetoed by the Governor who said, “I’m standing on the side of economic growth…who’s with me?”

The “Almighty Dollar” trumps science, history, morality…even truth. The “Almighty Dollar” rules our culture and distorts even our best outcomes.

In our deceived and deeply disturbed society, we seem to have forgotten the eternal Lord Almighty in favor of the temporary rush of riches.

Help me to resist the lure of wealth…stay true to Your leading…and show others the folly of their choices.

AMEN

Scripture: “Then He said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” Luke 12:15
