Leviticus

In America, the only place as dangerous to our children as their mother’s womb or the streets of our major cities is their pediatrician’s office.

As a society, we have begun to hear from the most influential voices in our culture, that You either don’t care or are guilty of the most callous acts imaginable focused on our children. They say You’ve locked girls in male bodies and boys in female bodies…but don’t worry, a deranged surgeon near you can fix the problem with a scalpel and a few pharmaceuticals.

Father, in this make-believe world devoid of reality, so few are trying to protect Your children from the ravages of the darkness we’ve embraced. Please save the defenseless little ones among us. Destroy this lie and those who promote it.

Scripture: “Do not permit any of your children to be offered as a sacrifice to Molech, for you must not bring shame on the name of your God. I am the LORD.” Leviticus 18:21

You designed humans unique in all creation. You gave man and woman superior intelligence, self-awareness, communications skills and a moral compass to reign over Your creation.

Early in history, we lost our way. We began to worship created objects above You. Uncivilized societies, to appease their self-made gods, instituted all sorts of rituals to earn favor. The most barbaric ritual was child sacrifice implemented for the well being of adults. Today in our sophistication we are no better. In “civilized” America we sacrifice our children…born and unborn…to protect our creature comforts, career concerns, wealth, celebrity and power. There’s no more dehumanizing practice than the destruction of children for our own well being.

We have fallen into a pit of depravity. Can we be forgiven? Please reorder our priorities and place our feet on solid ground.

Scripture: “Don’t sacrifice your children on the altar fires to the god Molech. I am the LORD your God, and that would disgrace me.” Leviticus 18:21

You love us as we mock Your Son. Your Love extends to all people; every tribe…every language. Calvary offers unbounded forgiveness. Yours is a crazy love.

The crisis at our border is soul crushing. The costs on both sides of the river are overwhelming. Those coming to escape corruption and poverty seeking hope are exploited by cartels…sexually abused, fleeced and abandoned by smugglers. Many have died.

We have closed our borders but struggle for a solution for the millions here illegally.  Americans continue to die from the flow of drugs…public support systems are overwhelmed…the rule of law is ignored.

Without consequences, our borders are meaningless…but without compassion we deny the soul of America. What’s the answer?

You raised up leaders to defend Israel from foreign invasion AND, You commanded respect and support for foreigners in Israel. What is the righteous solution? Give America both compassion and wisdom in this tragedy.
