Hebrews

The power of prayer has seldom been fully unleashed against the Prince of Darkness…and it is a frightening thing to consider defying his awesome power.

At three critical time in our history, at the Constitutional Convention…in the midst of the civil war and D-Day, the invasion of Normandy, WWII, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln and FDR called America to prayer…and each time God answered our prayers and protected us from being overwhelmed by the darkness.

Today this same enemy…this same darkness is threatening us…and, as throughout history, only You can prevail against the evil attempting to remove this last bastion of liberty from the earth.

Lord, fill us with the courage to face this fearsome threat. Instill in us the faith to stand in the gap. Hear our prayers Almighty God and rescue us.

Scripture: “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16

You are more faithful than any parent could be. You love us more than anyone else could. You guarantee my eternity with You…and You are never too busy to listen.

I despair for America. Our entertainment industries…our streaming services…our social media all bombard us constantly with gratuitous violence and tell us we are no more than our sexual identity. We hear over and over that sexual conquest is the ultimate goal in life. We are buying a counterfeit version of love.

We’ve fallen so far that only You can lift us from the mire.

Revive Your church and send a great awakening across America…restore a purity that loves deeply, restores relationships, and overcomes what divides us.

Help me stand firm…to love and care for others as You love and care for me.

Being able to share my concerns at Your throne and know that You hear and You care is an amazing blessing. Thank You for this privilege.

I come to You today with a heart burdened for America. She is adrift in a sea of deception and evil and cannot find her way. Please come among us and show Yourself mighty. Reveal the lies and hidden agendas of those in power: agendas full of hatred for Your Son.

It seems impossible for You to remain tolerant much longer. Destroy the evil taking root in America. Help me represent Your loving kindness and share your truth to all I meet today.
