I’m learning that telling others only what they want to hear is not loving. To build unrealistic hopes or defend irresponsible behavior in loved ones will only lead to pain and anger when the unvarnished truth…the unavoidable truth becomes apparent.

So many in my community are living a fantasy that those around them know cannot bring peace or satisfaction…only a hopeless future. Yet they persist in the lie while calling anyone daring to shine a light on the deranged darkness…”evil” or “unloving”. How upside-down our world has become.

I know You love me because often You’ve been willing to tell me things I didn’t want to hear.

I’m to Forgive…Obey…Tell the truth…Humble myself… it’s a pretty inexhaustible list…but all whispered for my best.

Make me a love “whisperer”.

Scripture: “Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore, do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.” Job 5:17

The arrogance of mankind cannot be overstated. I am daily amazed at the absurd efforts made to try to prove we don’t need a creator while establishing we’re intelligent enough to make our own way in life.

I want to shout, “How dumb!” Then I find myself second-guessing You again.

Mankind’s latest folly is straight from the Wizkids of Silicon Valley. You can communicate directly with: “AI Jesus” 24/7, live on “Twitch”, and receive a computer-programmed response to resolve life’s deepest questions.

The spirit of the antichrist is alive a well and only a click away.

How sad…and desperate we are to escape God’s authority and prove our independence from Scripture.

Help me and other believers learn to be good listeners willing to provide Scriptural light into the darkness.
