Lord of Encouragement

When I am lost or frightened or lonely, You give me courage. When the right choice is daunting, when right path seems dark and lonely or I am facing uncomfortable options, You
encourage me to make the difficult…even unpopular choices.

Thank You for always drawing the best out of my timidity!

Lord, America has become a frightened, cowardly society…unwilling to take a stand for the truth if the opposition objects and threatens. Medical professionals, the intellectual elites, those
whose livelihood depends on pleasing the powerful have abandoned character for the path of least resistance and are leading us to destruction.

Help me find the character to lead with courage…stand for what’s right and defend truth in the darkness that threatens to overwhelm America.

The God of life and freedom

You are the God who gave us freedom and encourages us in times of distress.

We have never needed You more.. We see the carnage men’s wisdom produces.

You guided our founders…brave men and women, to dare to seek freedom. You challenged them to build a unique place where they could define their own destiny…not limited by government.

That freedom requires the courage to risk and fail. America is where freedom has reigned because the brave were willing to take great risks. Their courage bought all mankind a better world.

Somehow, we’ve lost the courage to be free. We cower from bullies and seek “safe spaces” where personal responsibility and accountability can be avoided.

A place where we could trade our freedoms for promises of government security.

Lord, restore to us the courage that drove our founders to risk everything for the dream of freedom. May we again have the courage to be free.

Start in my heart.
