In our foolish arrogance, we continually challenge You and deny the absolute truth of our need for rescue from the darkness that claims each of us.
Thank You for revealing my need for the cross and Your promise to lift me from darkness to light when I cried out to You and acknowledged my need. Today’s narrative blinding us, is our insistence that we are good enough to merit heaven without Your intervention. We are certain we owe no debt for our disregard for You. The undeniable truth is that our pride overcomes our willingness to seek Your help…denial comes easier and we refuse to humble ourselves before the cross.
Help me elevate Your truth above the false narrative. We are hopeless without You!
