I am calmed by the knowledge that You’re in charge. I am secure knowing You’ve adopted me into Your eternal family by the sacrifice of Christ at Calvary.
But, if I’m honest, when I see the TV news; when I must deal with the prices of everything climbing beyond reach; when I recognize the power of the social media aligned against the truth; when I experience the divisions among us…I am overwhelmed by the tidal wave of American dysfunction.
But, even as the fear threatens to paralyze me, I remember that though I am not capable of staunching the approaching darkness on my own…I am more than a conqueror when You guide my words and actions.
It is Your presence in me that makes victory possible.
