From the beginning, You have been just in all Your judgments. Your justice is guided by grace. I know because I received Your pardon…Your Son paid the penalty for me.
We are each guilty, but in Your love, You provide restoration. We must each admit our personal failures.
Your justice does not extend to a favored demographic group but is available to anyone who acknowledges their need and seeks Your face.
Today, by our arrogant rejection of Your grace…and by our reliance upon human “wisdom” to redefine justice have so distorted the term as to make it meaningless in our courts.
Lord, restore justice in America. Protect the poor and downtrodden. Shine Your light of truth on those using the courts for their own gain. Teach me to love Your justice and to proclaim Your wisdom to all.
Scripture: “Learn to do what is right! Promote justice! Give the oppressed reason to celebrate! Take up the cause of the orphan! Defend the rights of the widow!” Isaiah 1:17
