Protector of the Meek

I’m just learning what it means to be truly courageous…what it means to be a courageous person of faith as we stand in the gap for America.

We are all called to be “meek”. A most misunderstood concept of bravery. The greatest picture of meekness…of pure courage in human history occurred when Jesus was tried before Pilate and refused to bow. Pilate reminded Jesus that he held Jesus’ life in his hands. Without flinching…without being macho, without threatening, Jesus simply said, “You have no power my Father hasn’t given you.”

I must learn to stand unafraid of the world’s threats. Teach me to trust You alone…and to lead others to have the same courage standing before the evil we face. Encourage us in the darkness.

AMEN

Scripture: “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 & “But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.” Psalms 37:11
