I love You, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer…I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. [if] the cords of death encompass me, and the torrents of ungodliness threaten…[if] all of Sheol surrounds me and defeat seems inevitable…in my distress I will call upon the LORD, He hears my voice out of His temple, and my cry comes to His ears. The God who executes vengeance for me delivers me from my enemies.
What King David knew with unshakable certainty…is true today. No matter the crisis, David’s God is only a whispered prayer away and will rescue me from fear and despair. Through all eternity, I will sing Your praises.
