God of Love and Grace

Why am I surprised when studies support Your truth? A recent study reveals that expressing gratitude reduces stress, improves heart health, and heals and strengthens relationships. A simple “Thank, you” and a smile makes life significantly better…for me and for the one to whom I’m expressing thanks.

In a world so full of anger, where distrust runs so deeply and our division make civility difficult…maybe something as simple as showing gratitude to one another could start a revolution. A revolution of smiles…of civil language…and begin undermining the things we’ve let divide us.

I’d like to be an ambassador for gratitude. Teach me to be gracious to those I interact with…remind me to say “Thank you” …to open the door for others…to be patient and kind and not just to my “tribe”.

AMEN
