The universe was without form or substance…then You spoke and everything came into being. At Your command there was where there had been only darkness and life where there had been no life.
I cannot explain it but my very existence proves Your mighty power.
In the face of all this the human race which only exists by Your grace declares themselves wiser and more capable than it’s Creator.
I am guilty of this hubris when I think I can handle things without You. Forgive me my arrogance…remind me of my insignificance without You. It is You and You alone that gives my existence meaning and hope.
I am just one of untold millions of Americans too often deceived by this lie. Reveal Yourself fresh and new to us…don’t abandon America…rescue her.
