I know Your word contains all the essential truth and wisdom I need.
Yet, I am often tempted to seek answers from the world. Their advice is enticing. Their words tickle my ears. Whether it is finances, relationships, parenting or any other subject, the world’s “experts” abound with advice, but it is remarkable how often their guidance contradicts Your counsel.
It is so easy to listen to the loudest voice rather the quiet prompting of Your Spirit, but the way of the world is foolishness and its path leads to tragedy.
Help me resist the temptation to “fit in”. Teach me Your ways…guide me in the path of wisdom. Give me the courage to seek Your face and model Your truth in a world so desperate for answers.
